Overview
The sample client was selling through a storefront that could not share an order with service or the warehouse. Promotions were edited in one system and discovered in another.
This is a sample project story. It describes how a retailer might replace a storefront while keeping catalog, checkout, and service on one order record. The client is fictional.
01
Challenge
Peak season exposed the gap. Service agents could not see whether an order had left the building, and merchandisers could not tell which price the customer had actually been shown.
02
Solution
The sample program put catalog, checkout, and the order timeline on one record. Service, finance, and fulfillment read the same status. The storefront became a client of that record rather than the owner of a private copy.
